Katie and Andrew’s storybook wedding took place at the charming and historic Serra Plaza in San Juan Capistrano, California. Trust us, this is no cookie-cutter wedding day. The ceremony was held in the courtyard with the venue’s bubbling fountain decked out with cascading roses and crystals. With dozens of varying candles lining her walk down the aisle, Katie stepped onto a cloud of white floral petals. Making the day even more notable, was Andrew’s brother who was their officiant. The stately beauty of the Grand Plaza was a blank canvas in which Laurie Davis created one glam party for the reception. The Spanish courtyard was magically lit with Edison lights and chandeliers casting a golden glow against the sequin La Tavola linens and Signature Rentals metallic chairs. Katie and Andrew’s A Wish and Whisk cake is also one for the books. A five-tier masterpiece with a golden story outlining their journey together marking significant dates for the couple. We warned you about this absolute swoon worthy day! It’s simply prettiness galore.

TSE 2017 The Wedding Event | Wedding Styles: Rock and Rolled

Set at the Pacific Ballroom of The Long Beach Convention Center, the TSE 2017 Wedding Event produced and designed by CL22 Productions took guests on a musical journey through Wedding Styles: Rock and Rolled.

CL22 Productions owner Cynthia Lopell and Creative Director Jackson Lowell designed a spectacular feast for the eyes and senses as guests entered a room divided into 4 distinct design sections surrounding a circular DJ booth in the center of the room with a glistening chandelier overhead.

Each design section was inspired by 4 music artists, Keith Urban – Earthy and Natural, Stevie Nicks – Vintage and Romantic, Beyonce – Urban and Edgy, and Pavarotti – Extravagant and Lavish. The Keith Urban section featured a feminine and natural ambiance with pale pink linens by Luxe Linen and romantic florals with a rustic feel. The Stevie Nicks inspired design featured mixed prints and textures with a glittery backdrop of hanging beads. G Fiori Floral Design created vibrant centerpieces to accent the tables with mixed patterned china and colored glassware. The Beyonce inspired section featured chic white florals by Eddie Zaratsian with edgy linens and elegant decor. For the final design inspired by Pavarotti, table tops featured baroque details with candelabras draped in florals, bold red centerpieces, and tons of gold accents and opulent decor.

As guests enjoyed a catered three course dinner, four surprise fashion shows took place with models in extravagant bridal fashions from Panache Bridal Beverly Hills. Each fashion show focused on styles that reflected each music artists with gorgeous gowns, accessories, and hair and makeup.

It was an unforgettable event that will surely be remembered for years to come!

From the bride: The kicker to our story is that we are moving to Germany due to my husband’s employment with the US Department of State, and we could not bear the thought of ever being apart. That being said, we only had 3 months to plan our wedding, and a very small budget, but we knew that we were a great team that could make it happen. TSE 17 Opens with Music and Inspiration

After a day of educational sessions, The 2017 Special Event Show kicked off this years conference with the Opening General Session. Lead by the Committee Co-Chairs Anthony Bollotta and Scott Frankel and with the theme “Anchor Your Success”  the session was a great success and an inspiration.

To start off the morning attendees were greeted with a visually beautiful display by A Night to RememberATOMIC Design and Animatic Media. Once everyone was seated the session began with a custom live performance by E-Plus entertainment  based on the song “You’ll be back” from the Broadway hit Hamilton. It was the first live performance at an Opening session in several years and it woke the audience up and blew them away!

Following the opening number, we were introduced to the show ambassadors, committee chairs and the winner of design gallery before hearing from the keynote speaker and Para-Olympic Medalist, Oz Sanchez. In a speech filled with humor, tragedy and success Oz inspired everyone in the audience to care for their mindset and persevere until you succeed. The audience was stunned when near the end of his speech, when Oz shows the results of his hard work, determination, combined and a touch of medical miracle – By standing up out of his wheelchair and walking around the stage.

The Special Event 2017 Opening general session was an inspiration to all who attended, and truly set the tone for an incredible conference.

For The Special Events Connects party, we partied like it was 1919! Zohe Felici of Felici Events created a dapper ol’ time for all the guys and gals at The Federal Bar in Long Beach, CA (a 1920’s federal bank turned restaurant and speakeasy).

The Special Event Conference attendees from all over the country were greated at The Federal Bar by young dames dressed in fringe and snakes to welcome them to a good time. The venue boasts an authentic vault in the speakeasy lounge creating that 1920’s vibe that was just the bees knees! While the Champagne Creative girls walked about the rooms in flapper girl style with horderves, guests enjoyed jazzy listening from The Replica’s Music. In addition to this, attendees sipped on Hot Hooch and Harlem Sunsets, specialty cocktails made just for TSE Connects.

Surrounded by feathers and fellow industry creatives at TSE Connects, everyone was able and willing to do just that, connect with their peers!

TSE 2017 Michael Cerbelli’s Hot List

The last day of  The Special Event jump started with TSE 2017 Michael Cerbelli’s Hot List. The excitement and suspense was building up all week with buzz around the convention. Michael Cerbelli didn’t dissappoint.

As you walked into the Grand Ballroom at the Long Beach Convention Center, the StarLight Orchestra welcomed the audience. Soon after the musical welcoming, Michael Cerbelli’s introduction was like no other. The Beastie Boys world-renowned song, “No Sleep ‘til Brooklyn” filled the air with the audience singing and dancing along.

Michael Cerbelli is a dear friend of the Rayce PR team and it was great being able to attend and support  his 16th Anniversary of the Hot List. Being a marketing and public relations firm, we thoroughly enjoyed his tips and tricks that he shared throughout his event.
From live performances of singers, dancers, and even skaters to hearing about the latest in technology used in the event industry… Michael Cerbelli wowed the audience once again! It was an informative, inspiring, and exhilarating experience that we would recommend to anyone!

The shoot took place at The Fig House, an urban-style meeting space with mid-century modern architecture and interiors. Shades of red, purple, teal, along with touches of gold complemented the venue beautifully, creating a luxurious setting inspired by Hollywood glam.

In the middle of the room, stood a white lacquer serpentine dining table from Revelry Event Designers, paired with plush dining chairs as well as sleek dishware and cutlery. Red floral arrangements by Eddie Zaratsian and poppy-colored menus by Maude Press were also present to complete the table settings.

A beautiful dining table wouldn’t be complete without a hearty meal, which was exactly what roomforty brought to the party. That’s not all, desserts and cake by Bottega Louie along with cocktails by Pharmacie were also prepared for the guests to enjoy. There was so much beauty in one place, and luckily Brian Leahy was behind the lens to capture it all.

“Life’s most wonderful moments often happen unexpectedly, and the best love stories always contain an element of surprise. Emina Cunmulaj was vacationing in the Caribbean, enjoying dinner with her best friend and his family, when she glanced over at a table on the other side of the room. Immediately, she noticed Sam Nazarian—a handsome stranger staring back at her. “I never believed in love at first sight until that very moment,” she describes. “We began to talk, and spoke every day for the next several months.” Despite having to maintain a long-distance relationship in the beginning, Emina and Sam’s love quickly blossomed. Five years into their courtship, the couple was living in Las Vegas and celebrating Emina’s 30th birthday. Sam had flown in her sister and friends, and Emina was whisked into a car for a surprise girls’ night out. Rather anticlimactically, the car ended up bringing the girls back to the house. “I was a little disappointed,” Emina laughs. When she went inside, however, she was greeted by a lively group of family, friends and a private chef. In front of everyone, Sam got down on one knee and popped the question. A lavish affair in Punta Mita, Mexico, was soon in the works….”

Modern Vibiana Wedding Featured on Grace Ormonde

“Carol Wang and Benny Moy chose to celebrate their wedding at Vibiana – a wedding venue that stood out to the couple with its intricate architecture, deep history and beauty. They envisioned an intimate and romantic wedding, balanced with modern simplicity and a warm atmosphere for guests to enjoy.

During the wedding planning process, Events by Evelynn and Keith Laverty Floral Design teamed up to create an exquisite space that brought the outdoors inside – the perfect setting for guests to have a world-class culinary experience and dance the night away. In keeping with the couple’s modern taste, the décor was kept clean and striking. Floral arrangements were all white with no fluff, mixed colors, or asymmetrical designs. With natural greenery and brown wood, warm lighting was used to brighten the space without competing with the rest of the décor.

To avoid looking too bland, linen selection was the key to adding some interest. Each piece of the place settings – from the charger plates and flatware, to the cushions and custom Pepperberry trees – was carefully chosen. Fireside Social by The ROQUE Foundation is a monthly meet up for female entrepreneurs and females in the workforce in the Bay Area. LA Artist Eddie Zaratsian Finds New Educational Outlet for His Talents

Eddie Zaratsian is showcasing his artistic floral talents in his newly released YouTube tutorial videos.

Luxury floral arrangements can now be made uniquely in your home with credit to the debut of artist Eddie Zaratsian Lifestyle and Design’s YouTube channel equipped with tutorial videos. Zaratsian’s YouTube channel releases a new video every Monday and Thursday.

Each video is a tutorial of Zaratsian creating unique floral arrangements. At the end of each video a breakdown of all the supplies needed to create the arrangement is given, preceded by the instructions explaining how to craft each unique arrangement. Having launched only this season, Zaratsian’s videos have over to 14,000 views.

Zaratsian’s arrangements can be seen throughout Southern California luxury hotels and events and now viewed from anywhere in the world through his YouTube channel. He is a celebrity florist that is passionate about artistic design education and showcases his talents virtually though his 18 YouTube tutorials that he has posted to date.

Aside from his newly released videos, Zaratsian also owns floral production company, Tic-Tock Couture Florals. This Farmstead at Long Meadow Ranch wedding in California was an intimate celebration that includes some wonderful German traditions. This wedding brought together a couple, one from Germany and one from America. You can already imagine the party that ensued!

Pretty paper details by Abbey and Jamie Loberman and Megan Jones Bell can be found throughout the day. Finally, guests relax to the sounds of Wine Country Entertainment and finish the night dancing to the band The Bow Ties under strings of lights while enjoying mini desserts and smores fireside.

Elegant Peter Pan Birthday Party Featured in Love Luxe Life

This Peter Pan inspired dinner party pulls key themes from both the classic and modern Peter Pan. First, the party starts with a cocktail hour on Skull Island featuring a 12ft rock skull bar. Sonia Sharma Events creates a dark and sexy look with LED drapes and a custom projection on the ceiling. The ceilings feature 12 giant crystal chandeliers that play into this luxurious pirate theme.

Next, guests enter the treasure cove bazaar full of jewelry and then into the beautiful dining room. The jaw dropping custom gold ship is the focal point of the night and also the band’s performance stage. Guests love the seafood ice bar made of a Peter Pan ice sculpture. Each detail is accounted for, down to the green emerald jeweled napkin rings and the peter pan silhouette menu cards. The gold mirrored tables overflow with luscious florals, and each table has it’s own color scheme.

“Each attendee was greeted at their place setting with a cake pop that matched the red-and-gold décor of the space. While every table was topped with a centerpiece of red roses, they alternated between low arrangements and tall ones held aloft by grand, gilded stands. Bullion chargers were paired with crimson linens to complete the regal look of the evening. A graceful five-tiered cake was displayed prominently and adorned with fresh red roses – the flower of the day.”

The Special Event (TSE), produced yearly by leading marketing solutions company Penton, is  the industry’s largest tradeshow and conference for event professionals where one can connect with over 5,000 event colleagues, exhibitors, and mentors. Each distinct area is transcendent to the intensely rhythmic form the headliner exudes giving the tableaus all a life of their own;  “Urban & Edgy” Beyonce inspired, “Vintage & Romantic” Stevie Nicks inspired, “Earthy & Natural” Keith Urban inspired and “Extravagant & Lavish” Pavarotti inspired. Each definite artist will also be represented in a theatrical fashion show with gowns sponsored by the highly desirable Beverly Hills bridal salon, Panache Bridal.

“With our training and skill developed from a theatrical foundation, to which we are incorporating nontraditional focuses on set design and construction, lighting design, drama and oral interpretation, we bring heightened expertise to the guest experience. Cynthia Lopell launched her own event design and production company in 2008, CL22 Designs and Productions Inc. With her degree in set design and construction, she worked in New York City for 10 years honing her skills in creating environments that take its guests out of their own world and on a journey into another world.

From 1993 through 2008, Cynthia worked as an Event Producer and Designer in Los Angeles with Along Came Mary Productions, a top company in the entertainment arena for over 30 years. Cynthia’s logistical and communicative skills, creativity and expertise made her an extraordinary member of ACM’s event production team and is now taking it a step further with her own design and production company.
