Circus Themed Party Featured in Love Luxe Life

This vibrant and colorful birthday party is based on the film, Madagascar 3. Sonia Sharma Events was inspired by the animated film’s circus tent, animals and wigs. They combine custom sculptures along with vintage circus props to give the event an authentic feel. Incredibly detailed signage, props, and custom furniture transforms the space.

Guests are greeted by several characters that represented both the old and new circus era. This vibrant event is not only visually stimulating, but also has a plethora of activities and food that surpasses any traditional circus. Activities include a giant toy grab game, Pig Races, Puppet Shows, and a Flip Book Booth just to name a few.

In between the juggling acts and performances, guests feast on circus food! Sliders, french fries, corn dogs, grilled cheese and soup shooters, and 3 types of mac and cheese along with one of the most colorful dessert displays your eyes have ever seen! Why have one 7-tier birthday cake when you can have two? These massive cakes are made of sugar characters and details that fit the theme to a tee. This birthday party is one that guests will never forget!

Edgar Zamora Was Named One Of The Top 35 Event Designers for Biz Bash

A big congratulations to Edgardo Zamora of Revelry Event Designers on being named one of the top 35 Event Designers. Based in Los Angeles, Argentinian-born Zamora travels everywhere from Italy to Hawaii to design made-to-order looks for roughly 350 events a year, including corporate galas for clients like Gucci and Subaru, movie premieres and screenings, award productions like last year’s pre-BET Awards party, and social events. 

Geller Events turned to us to create a barn-style setting in a tent. We designed a dance floor area with a peaked ceiling using fabric and reclaimed wood beams. A drop-ceiling arbor over the dining area was covered with foliage and accented with wooden lanterns. Hand-painted hardwood floors helped set the stage of permanence for this temporary structure.” —Edgardo Zamora

How Biz Bash Chose the List:

We compiled this list after reviewing work from candidates across North America. We looked at not only the quality and volume of their work, but also the designers’ clients and reputations. The list favors those who work on corporate and nonprofit events, although we included some social event specialists. There are familiar names but also some surprises. Most importantly, we sought innovation—work that made the editors gasp or say, “I’ve never seen that before.”

Revelry Event Designers for Event Solutions “Design/Creative Director of the Year”

Edgar Zamora, of Revelry Event Designers has been nominated for Design/Creative Director of the Year! The Event Solutions, Spotlight Awards are an annual awards presentation dedicated to recognizing the best and the brightest event professionals in the industry. The awards are presented in a variety of categories and honor both individuals and companies for their body of work in the previous year.

“My company, Revelry Event Designers, has experienced incredible growth over the past year. My vision to expand the business has come from a place of wanting to be in the forefront of the industry while at the same time creating custom, hand-crafted event design that is beautiful, functional and ahead of the pack. In the last year we expanded to a new, 62,000 square foot warehouse, doubled our sales, executive and warehouse staff and our fleet of trucks has doubled as well. To date, we have designed and executed 75 more events than last year and the scope and scale of the projects we’ve tackled this year has been immense. I believe more than at any other time in my career, this has been the year that I have most influenced design in the event industry. My curiosity and passion is what started me out in this business, but I believe my work ethic and the way I respond to design challenges are key elements that keep me at the forefront of the industry. Quality is a huge factor in my success as a designer. I truly believe that quality design and quality products go hand in hand. I have made a conscious decision to design and produce custom, well-made design pieces for events because that is what discerning clients demand and it’s what I would want for my own event. As a design influencer, I value my special events community and my dedicated employees above all else, because without them I would not be where I am today.”

Engage!12: Final Night Gala

The final night gala at engage!12 in Las Vegas at the Mandarin Oriental was a sight to behold in white, gold and blue! Revelry Event Designers decorated using their gold banquettes, sofas, ottomans and tables to create a look that was elegant and modern. Wildflower Linens provided the customs linens and West Coast Music had all the guests dancing into the wee hours on Naakiti Floral Design‘s white dance floor! This was one of the best parties we’ve been to so far! Congratulations to all the vendors who made this happen!

ISES MEET THE MASTERS AT THE BILTMORE

The ISES Meet the Masters dinner at the Biltmore in downtown Los Angeles on Monday night was a huge success! Our very own, Edgar Zamora was a master, and he had a great time, met some new people and offered up his advice on how to succeed in this business.

For those of you who are not familiar with ISES (The International Special Events Society), it’s a professional club that fosters enlightened performance through education while promoting ethical conduct. ISES works to join professionals to focus on the “event as a whole” rather than it’s individual parts and it’s gorwn to involve over 7,000 members active in 42 chapters throughout the world. It’s a great way to network and grow your business!

ISES, the International Special Events Society of Greater Los Angeles, will hold it’s 6th annual Meet the Masters educational event on November 14, 2011 at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel. We’re proud to announce that Revelry’s President, Edgar Zamora, will be a master this year!
Please join us at this gathering of the special event industry’s top leaders to learn from experienced professionals and network with your colleagues and peers. BizBash Readers’ Choice Award Winners Revealed at BizBash West Expo
Pasadena—June 15, 2011—BizBash, the leading B2B media company for the event planning industry, announced the winners of the 2011 BizBash West Readers’ Choice Awards at a ceremony held at the BizBash Expo on Tuesday, June 14, at the Pasadena Convention Center.
BizBash readers and online users nominated and then voted on finalists in 10 categories, including Event Producer of the Year, Venue Manager of the Year, Caterer of the Year, and Association/Nonprofit Event Planner of the Year. Finalists campaigned heavily, especially on social platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn, resulting in nearly 30,000 votes.
