E had the pleasure of helping to design a unique event at The Beverly Wilshire Hotel on June 12. The East-meets-West themed fashion show/formal tea was the brain child of Nikki Khan from Exquisite Events and Youngsong Martin ofWildflower Linen.
Their goal was to blend the timeless style, romance and drama of Paris, India and the Hamptons; while communicating visually that while these destinations are in some ways very different, they also have something in common. They all inspire great design.
E designed the beautiful florals for this acrylic-framed mandap, which was the focal point for the fashion show. Models strutted down the yellow and white striped runway in Wildflower’s high-fashion table linens, which Youngsong Martin turned into haute couture apparel by draping and pinning them.
Revelry Event Designers provided the amazing custom-made furniture, upholstery and mandap structures for the entire event. Here’s a closer look at the incredible Indian-inspired sofa.
Following the fashion show, the guests moved from the Rodeo Terrace into the hotel’s Le Grand Trianon room for formal tea. E designed the gorgeous floral archway of Spray Roses, Calla Lilies, Hydrangea, Peonies and Plum Branches.
We’d like to thank Nikki Khan and Youngsong Martin for inviting us to be a part of this spectacular event. A special thank you also to John Solano Photography for the wonderful photos!
