Publisher, California Wedding Day magazine
Thea Hargrove has more than 15 years of media experience that includes publishing, broadcasting, media events, client marketing and branding, internet and social media communications, merchandising, and art direction from concept to completed composition. On the cutting edge of wedding trends, her extensive knowledge of both the publishing world and the event industry make her an invaluable resource. Beginning her career with Ojai Valley Graphics, Inc, she spearheaded the redesign of their 112-year-old local newspaper, Ojai Valley News, turning this small local resource into a nationally awarded bi-weekly publication. This success led Thea to become the founding partnership and creation of California Wedding Day, a highly acclaimed wedding resource and proud media sponsor of WIPA.
Under her nom de plume, Lady Grey, editor Summer Watkins curates a circle of blogs – Grey Likes Weddings, Grey Likes Baby and Grey Likes Nesting — from the unique perspective of a professional stylist in the editorial and bridal industry. In addition to blogging, she is a regular speaker about branding and publishing and her styling work has also appeared in several magazines, blogs, and a recently published book on gift wrap. Summer has also hosted numerous workshops to teach photographers how to grab the attention of editors and is passionate about sharing her wide range of knowledge.
