Since creating the “laws” of Fair Trade and declaring his company to be Fair Trade, vendor Rrivre Davies, event designer and owner of Rrivre Works, has seen a marked increase in business. His five principals of working ethically and transparently have spread among the top wedding professionals with whom he works and Fair Trade is shaping up to be one of the hottest topics for 2013.
During this lively, interactive discussion you will discover how you too can increase your business by working with more transparency. It will also place you on the ground floor with WIPA as we use this session to generate a White Paper on such topics as: fair pricing practices; a definition of terms such as fees, markups and commissions; giving credit where credit is due; and how to get this message out to the industry and the end user.
It’s time for straight talk that will create a better, more sustainable future for this industry and your company. Come to the session and:
Identify and discuss the external obstacles holding you back from success in regards to Fair Trade
Find out how bringing Fair Trade to the forefront of your marketing efforts will increase your bottom line
Be on the ground floor of today’s most important discussion and the launch of a “Fair Trade” groundswell
Plus! Everyone who attends this session and endeavors to abide by the laws of fair trade will get a Fair Trade logo and the five principals of Fair Trade to use on their website and other marketing material.

Rrivre Davies, lead designer and owner of Rrivre Works, a 17-year-old design and specialty rental firm in Los Angeles, attributes his design sensibility to the fact that he has visited more than 30 countries. “We need to see things from as many perspectives as possible to truly know ourselves and our world, he says.”
He has put his unique design vision (and his company’s furnishings) to work on events for all the major Hollywood studios, numerous charitable foundations and fundraising events, and the personal events of celebrities and captains of industry. His celebrity work includes a private event for actress Marcia Cross, the weddings of Khloe and Kim Kardashian and Nick and Vanessa Lachey’s wedding.
This year Rrivre was named one of BizBash magazine’s 2012 Innovators, won the 2012 Event Solutions magazine Spotlight Awards Designer of the Year and was a finalist for its Event Supplier of the Year that same year.
